Aqib Talib, cornerback for the Denver Broncos has suffered a gunshot wound to the leg following a fight at Dallas nightclub early Sunday morning.

It has been reported that Talib was one of three people shot following a fight. He was taken to the hospital for his injury. The Denver Broncos have confirmed that Talib’s wound is to the lower right leg and that he will make a full recovery.

There is conflicting hospital information on whether Talib was released earlier, but a team source says that he will be staying overnight.

NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington has tweeted about the incident.

The Denver Broncos have been in touch with the NFL on this matter and they will provide additional updates when appropriate.

The cornerback’s current contract is a six-year, $57 million deal. He had one of his best years last year, helping the Broncos become the number one ranked defense and winning the Super Bowl.

Talib has gotten into trouble in Texas before. He was involved with an assault with a deadly weapon case that was later dismissed.

The current situation is under NFL investigation and they will have more information as the story develops.
